A good washing routine is essential to keep reusable nappies in tip-top condition. For the library nappies, we ask that you use the following method
1. Knock any solids in the toilet/ bin & dispose of the liner or if using fleece pop it in the dirty bag with your nappies
2. Dry pail only - please do not soak the nappies just pop them in the large wet bag and close the zip
3. When its time to wash the nappies empty the bag into the machine and use a cold/ warm rinse first
4. Once the rinse cycle is finished select a long wash at 40 (60 if you have a baby under 3 months, your baby has a tummy bug/ rash or you have 2 in cloth)
5. Use your normal washing powder - NO Fabric softener. You can use liquid but the results might not be as good. Soap Nuts and Eco Eggs are no good for nappies.
6. You may need to rinse your nappies again at the end of the cycle if there are bubbles present
7. Ideally air dry but fitted and flat nappies can be tumble dried on low
